Hey,

I used to be active on this forum about a few months ago but I completely forgot that it exists lol.

Anyways I found this weird email in my inbox back from a week ago and I’ve been going through all of the websites and forums that I was active on in the past so this one was up next.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

There was something people used to talk about online, way back before YouTube was big. They called it "THE ROAD TO SALVATION”. It wasn't a game, or a religion, or anything official. Just like a rumor that kept popping up in old forums and dead blogs, always being posted by someone new, always worded a little differently.

This is the version I found:

They say that there are three doors that you're supposed to see in your life.

Not real doors, but instead like choices.

Except sometimes, they do look like real doors.

It is the first door that you don't actually notice till you have walked past it.

The second door is the one that won’t open, no matter how much you try.

THE THIRD DOOR IS THE ONE THAT OPENS FOR YOU EVEN IF YOU DON’T TOUCH IT.

People who wrote about it said if you ever see a door open by itself, in a dream especially, you’re already on the Road.

And once you're on it, you're supposed to keep moving forward.

If you stop, you lose it.

I don't know if this stuff is real.

It probably isn't.

It's just one of those early-internet chain things people copied because it felt weird and deep. But the rules said: If you read about the Road, then you're supposed to pass it on to at least 3 people. Not because something bad happens if you don’t, but because "the Road is only real when it's remembered". Kind of cheesy, I know. But it stuck with me. Anyway, do what you want with this. Delete it, repost it, whatever. Just… if anything strange opens for you that shouldn’t be open, DON’T COME BACK THE WAY YOU CAME.

Sorry to bring this thread back up as it seemed to have already concluded, but I think I saw this on Tumblr around like 2011? But I don’t remember the “three doors” part, only the name really. Maybe it wasn’t Tumblr though, but it definitely was some forum somewhere out there.
